On behalf of our hardworking committee and many community supporters, we thank you for your interest in our festival and sincerely hope that you and your family will discover many wonderful stories at Telling Tales - stories that you will cherish and share with others throughout your life. We hope that you will return often with friends and family as we grow our festival.
Susan Jasper, Chair & Founder
Westfield Heritage Village was born in 1964 through the pioneering efforts of two high school teachers who had a vision for a unique and dynamic heritage learning experience appropriate for families and visitors from all walks of life. Westfield has strived to maintain the spirit of that vision by working with community groups and volunteers to develop one of the most vibrant living history museums of its kind. In support of children’s literacy, it is that sense of adventure and dedication that has inspired Telling Tales and its contributors to produce the last word in children’s festivals aimed at exploring our literary legacy both today and yesterday. The event brings famous authors of children’s books, performers and storytellers into the pastoral and family oriented grounds of Westfield for an event like no other. It is not just a must see event… it is a must be event.
