School Contest Judges Announced

Special guest judges will select winners in the Telling Tales 2016 Explore Your World school contest

We have a new contest that encourages students to work together for a chance to win an author presentation at their school. As a class, students select a book from the 2016 Telling Tales Reading List. Then together, use their imagination to create a picture, collage, video, song, poem or essay based on this year’s theme: Explore Your World.

We are excited to announce our stellar guest judges:

Shelley Falconer, President and CEO, Art Gallery of Hamilton

Rick Hughes, Executive Producer, CBC Hamilton

Sandra O’Brien, Editor of Canadian Children’s Booknews, Canadian Children’s Book Centre

This expert panel of independent judges will review the top entries and select our winners.

Three lucky schools will win a special author visit by one of this year’s amazing Telling Tales Festival presenters. The contest deadline is fast approaching, so have your teacher register your class, and be sure to submit your entries by our deadline: Friday, June 17, 2016.
