Westfield Heritage Village
Westfield Heritage Village is the very special place that has hosted the Telling Tales Festival since 2009.
Located just 30 minutes north-west of Hamilton, Westfield is a living history museum situated on a beautiful, ecologically significant 363-acre property containing an historic area, woodlands, a teaching forest, meadows and trails.
At Westfield, you can visit more than 35 historic buildings and immerse yourself in the sights, smells, sounds and tastes of early Ontario. Authentically dressed historical interpreters will take you back to earlier times and places through activities and demonstrations reflecting domestic, commercial and civic life from the late 1700s through to the early 20th century.
You can take a seat in a one room log schoolhouse, stop by the General Store for a sweet treat, take a turn working the press in the Print Shop, have your picture taken in front of a massive steam locomotive, and much more. Westfield is a special place for families, with a wide range of events, programs and activities offered throughout the year.
