Announcing the 2017 Stories Take You Anywhere School Contest Judges
Special guest judges will select winners in the 2017 Telling Tales Stories Take You Anywhere School Contest.
The school contest encourages students to work together for a chance to win an author experience at their school. As a class, students select a book from the 2017 Telling Tales Reading List. Then together, use their imagination to create a picture, collage, video, song, or poem based on this year’s theme: Stories Take You Anywhere.
An expert panel of independent judges carefully review and evaluate the top entries, based on an established marking rubric, and then select the three winning schools. Our esteemed judges are experts in their fields and represent different industry perspectives. We’re excited to announce our stellar guest judges:
- Rick Hughes, Executive Producer, CBC Hamilton
- Janet Mowat, Director Communications and Marketing, Art Gallery of Hamilton
- Sandra O’Brien, Editor of Canadian Children’s Book News, Canadian Children’s Book Centre
