Christmas comes early at Telling Tales
Celebrate the holiday season with tickets to the Nutcracker
Get into the holiday spirit with music, dance, and spending time with family. Ballet Jörgen has generously donated family passes to their upcoming performance of The Nutcracker. This Canadian holiday tradition takes place on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Hamilton Place.
Tell us about your fondest memories of Telling Tales in the comments on our Facebook page, or share a photo that captures your favourite Festival moment. Let’s look back at the best of Telling Tales 2016!
We would love to hear about your experiences at the festival this year:
- Who was your favourite presenter?
- What’s something new that you learned?
- Who was your favourite literary or historical character?
- Did you come across a special find at the Book Swap & Shop?
- What presenter gave you a treasured autograph?
Special bonus for Press Club members
Have the kids enter our Press Club for a chance to win a bonus – a signed book. They can write a short story or draw a picture about their favourite part of the Telling Tales Festival: a fun presenter, getting an autograph, picking up a special book, or meeting a character in person. In addition to being entered into our Nutcracker contest, all Press Club entries will be put into a random draw to win a book. One winner will be randomly selected on Nov. 30, 2016. The Press Club is open to students ages six to 14. Click here for more information about the Press Club. Submit stores and pictures to: email@example.com along with your name, age, address, and email address.

The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition
A special thank you to Ballet Jörgen for their generous donation!
The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition is a beautiful ballet where audiences are taken on Klara’s familiar, magical dream-journey as she arrives in Canada and experiences winter landscapes filled with snowflakes, lumberjacks, Mounties and creatures of the woods.
