Do you know a teen that loves to read? Be sure they visit the Telling Tales Festival this fall to discover some exciting new books. This year we have a special Teen Stage that features talented Canadian authors Shane Peacock and Kevin Sands!
We’ll ask a new question each day on our Facebook page. Simply reply in the comment section for a chance to win one of these fantastic new books. We’ll draw a new winner each day, so be sure to follow along and share your suggestions with us.

Question: Name an ingredient used by apothecaries
Many different natural ingredients, including plants and herbs were used to create medicines and potions. Tell us one of these ingredients that may have been used by apothecaries.
The contest takes place from Saturday, August 6 to Sunday, August 7, 2016. Simply reply in the comments below the Facebook contest post by midnight each day to be entered into a random draw. One lucky winner will be selected and announced by noon the following day.

Meet Kevin Sands
After escaping from university with a pair of degrees in theoretical physics, Kevin Sands turned his hand to uncovering the secret world of apothecaries. He is the author of the award-winning bestseller The Blackthorn Key, and its sequel, Mark of the Plague.
